Drummond Golf - Out of the Shadows 2024
In 2024, over 30 team members at Drummond Golf’s Melbourne head office took part in Lifeline’s Out of the Shadows Walk and raised $5,359 to support Lifeline’s suicide prevention services.
They made the walk their own, adapting it to suit their workplace and making sure everyone could get involved in a way that worked for them.
In the lead-up to World Suicide Prevention Day, some team members walked 1km a day for nine days — taking time each day to reflect and support the cause. Then on October 3rd, the team came together for a final walk: some finished their last kilometre, while others completed the full 9km in one go.
The walk gave the team space to honour those who’ve been lost to suicide, and to take steps in support of anyone doing it tough. It also spoke to the culture at Drummond — one where people look out for each other and mental health is taken seriously.
It was a great opportunity to boost morale in their head office, in what can be a stressful time of year for retailers.

Lifeline Australia has been the key beneficiary of Drummond Golf’s initiative, Golf Fore A Cause, since 2020. Through Golf Fore A Cause, Drummond Golf raises funds for Lifeline through merchandise sales, charity golf days, in-store sale roundups and numerous other initiatives. Their involvement in the walk was just one of the many ways they continue to show their support.
