We're walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis
Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.
Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.
For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), we will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.
We are walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support Aussies in need.

My beautiful friend, There really are no words big enough for what you and your beautiful family have been through this year. Losing your gorgeous son has left a space that can never be filled. He will always hold such a special place in many people's heart. ❤️ To choose your 49th birthday to walk alongside your two beautiful children and an amazing human (Dean Raymond), in honour of your son, their brother and chosen family, while raising money for suicide prevention is such an incredibly powerful way to honour his life and his memory. I know every step will carry so many emotions — love, heartbreak, memories, tears and probably even some smiles as you remember the beautiful moments you all shared. But most importantly, every step will be taken with him beside you in your hearts. I am so incredibly proud of you. I hope this walk not only raises awareness and funds, but helps another family, another mum, another sibling or another friend from ever having to experience the unimaginable pain that your family has endured. Happy 49th birthday, my beautiful lifelong friend. I will be supporting you, walking beside you in spirit and remembering Adsnevery step of the way. His life mattered. His story matters.
