We are walking to remember loved ones who have been lost to suicide.
Losing a family member and friend to suicide this year has been devastating. Suicide has a traumatic impact.
Our mental health system is ruptured and more needs to be done to help those that are deeply suffering!
For World Suicide Prevention Day, Jeff and I will be taking part in 'Out of the Shadows' by walking 9kms for the 9 Australians lost to suicide every day and to remember loved ones who have been sadly lost to suicide. Funds raised, we hope, go towards providing urgent crisis support and suicide prevention services.
(We plan to start from Windsor boat ramp and finish in Vineyard on Saturday 7th September. Anyone can join our team)
Our impact so far
We've raised $883 so far to answer 22 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
