I'm walking to encourage the people still fighting the fight, commemorate those who lost the battle, and help people get support.
Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
A lot of people I love and are close to me have been effected by mental illness, self harm and have tried to take their own lives. Lifeline has lived up to its name, helping keep both myself and those I care about going in crises, when someone is needed most.
For World Suicide Prevention Day, I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day, and for all those who have tried, been effected by, or have thought of suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for those in need.
Please support my walk and sponsor me to help fundraise for those in crisis.
Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
