My Walk

My Progress

70km

My Target

70km

70 km. One purpose. Helping save lives.

🕊️Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide. Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

🤍Behind every statistic is a person a family, a friend, a colleague, and a community left to cope with the devastating impact of suicide.

👩🏻‍⚕️ As a healthcare professional with 8 years of experience, suicide and suicide attempts have had a profound impact throughout my career… I have witnessed the devastating effects suicide can have on individuals, families, colleagues, and communities.

🦋Beyond my professional experiences, suicide and attempts have also touched my personal life, giving me an even deeper understanding of the grief, complexity, and lasting impact it can leave behind.

🥾I have made a 7-day challenge to walk 70km, From the 10th of September(World Suicide Prevention Day) until the 17th of September… Every kilometre represents someone who has struggled, someone who has been lost, and someone who may need support today.

🙏🏼I would be incredibly grateful for your support, whether that’s through a donation, sharing my fundraising journey, prayers, or simply starting a conversation about mental health.

🌞Together, let’s help break the stigma and make talking about mental health more normal !It’s okay, not to be okay. What matters is knowing when to reach out and seek help when you need it.

We’re all in this together and we are never alone🌞🫶🏼 Lots of love, Valentina 💛

My impact so far

I've raised $580 so far to answer 14 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.

With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
