Walk With Zoe: Together We Can Make A Difference

We're walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis

Hi, my name is Zoe. I’m 10 years old and I’m a Girl Guide.

I’m doing this walk to support a fellow Guide whose big brother, Jai, died by suicide last year. Losing Jai has been really hard for his family, especially his brothers and little sister.

I believe Guides stick together, and what is important to one Guide is important to another.

Today we walk to remember people who have been lost to suicide. For you, it might not be Jai. It might be someone else who was really important to you. Or you might not have lost anyone to suicide, but you can still walk with us and help support other people and families.

In Australia, 9 lives are lost to suicide each day. That is why I’m walking 9 km and raising money for Lifeline. Donations help Lifeline provide crisis support and suicide prevention services to people who need them.

If you can’t walk the full 9 km, gather eight other people and walk 1 km together. Nine people. One kilometre. Together, your group of nine represents the 9 Australian lives lost to suicide each day.
