Remembering you, always.

For those who aren’t aware, my brother Ben, my sister Hayley and I tragically lost our Dad, Stephen, to suicide in March this year. 

He wasn’t just our Dad. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a nephew, a best mate and a neighbour. 

He was loved by so many people, and his loss has left a space in our lives that can never be filled.

For so many, the battle with mental health is fought silently. The devastating impact of suicide reaches far beyond the person who is struggling — it affects families, friends and entire communities.

This September, I’m taking part in Lifeline’s Out of the Shadows Walk, walking 9km in memory of Dad and the 9 Australians who lose their lives to suicide every day.

-Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide. 

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
