Walking for everyone who is struggling silently, and for those who need to know they’re never alone.
Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.
Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.
For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.
I’ve decided to take part in the Out of the Shadows Walk on September 10th, walking 63km to raise money for Lifeline and support suicide prevention.
Having struggled with my own mental health and experienced firsthand how difficult things can be, especially when you’re hurting silently and no one around you knows, this cause is incredibly close to my heart.
I’m walking for the people who feel like they’re alone, for those who are struggling behind closed doors, and for those who may not know where to turn. No one should ever feel like they have to face their darkest moments alone.
I would be so incredibly grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small, or even just a share of my fundraiser. Every bit of support can help Lifeline continue to be there for someone when they need it most.
63km for a cause that truly matters.
Thank you for supporting me and helping me make a difference. 🤍
My impact so far
I've raised $73 so far to answer 1 call for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
