I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis
63km. One step at a time 💙
This September, I’m taking part in Lifeline Ballarat’s Walk Out of the Shadows for Suicide Prevention Day, walking 63km to help shine a light on suicide prevention and mental health.
This one is deeply personal.
I’m walking as a provisional psychologist, but also as someone with lived experience of mental ill-health. I live with Generalised Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder and Complex PTSD, and I’ve also been someone who has picked up the phone and called Lifeline when I needed someone to help me through a difficult moment.
Mental health doesn’t discriminate. You can be studying psychology, supporting others, parenting, working, laughing, functioning and still struggle behind closed doors.
So this September, I’m walking for the people who are struggling silently.
For the people who have made that call.
For the people who haven’t felt able to yet.
For the people we’ve lost.
And for the people still here ❤️
63km. For hope. For connection. For suicide prevention.
If you’re able to support my walk, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps Lifeline continue providing vital crisis support to people when they need it most.
And if you’re struggling right now: you don’t have to carry it alone. My inbox is always open 🤗
My impact so far
I've raised $539 so far to answer 13 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
