I'm just under one month away from starting my 56km walk for Lifeline, raising money to go towards bringing hope to people in crisis.

I walk in memory of my dear friend Bella, whom I lost almost two years ago after four years of friendship, and there are so many things I wish I could've said to her.

I walk to remember the radiant girl who used to call me her sunshine, and I can only hope that she knew just how much I loved (and will continue to love) her.

I set my fundraising goal this year to $585, exceeding what I raised last year by $112, which would connect 15 people in crisis to Lifeline.

I wish she was still here to see the person I've become, and I wish she could've lived the future that we dreamt of together; I'm walking so that maybe someone else can have the opportunity that I lost.

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
