I’ve walked my nine kilometres a day for the last week. Thanks for those who have kicked the tin so far.

I realised that I haven’t kicked the myself yet! So, I’d better get on and do it.

Personally, I’ve had a couple of friends take their own lives while in my care. I buried both of them within but months of each other. Tragic.

Death is inevitable but the taking of your own life is preventable, but it needs help and support for that to happen.

Lifeline offers that help. Lifeline is mostly run by volunteers but there is also necessary staff, facilities, running costs, and overheads. Your donation goes to make that all happen!

I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
