I'm walking to remember my daughters best friend Lyv and for my own personal battles.

Lyv ~ Always in our hearts 💛🪽

For me, there was a time when simply being alive felt exhausting.

I smiled when I was supposed to smile. I showed up. I laughed. I carried on with life while inside, I was fighting a battle that very few people could see.

Depression convinced me that the darkness would never end. There were days when the pain became so heavy that I had suicidal thoughts—moments when I genuinely questioned whether I had the strength to keep going.

And that is difficult for me to admit.

Not because I am ashamed, but because people often don’t realise how close someone can be to breaking while still looking completely okay on the outside.

I’m not ashamed of the person I was in those darkest moments.

I’m proud of her.

Because when she couldn’t see a future, she somehow held on long enough to reach one.

This is not a tribute to depression.

It is a tribute to surviving it.

To every version of me that wanted to give up but stayed.

And to the life I almost didn’t get to keep living.

I’m still here.

And today, those three words mean everything.

My impact so far

I've raised $94 so far to answer 2 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.

With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
