Great Early Fundraising Result.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far 🫶. It means so much X

Such a great result so early on and I have decided to strive for the next goal amount of $585.

And please dont feel like you need to donate large amounts.
Every dollar helps 🥰.

This one is personal.

In a few weeks, I’ll be walking 9km for Lifeline as part of Suicide Prevention Day.

I’m doing it because suicide and mental health have been part of my life in ways that I never imagined they would be.

At 18, I attempted suicide.

That is something I carried quietly for a very long time. Like so many people, I experienced the shame, stigma and silence that can surround mental health and suicidal thoughts.

Over the years, I’ve also watched people I love struggle with their own mental health and experience periods where life has felt too difficult, too painful or too overwhelming.

And I've seen the impact those struggles can have, not only on the person experiencing them, but on the people who love them.

It has made me realise just how many people are touched by suicide, often behind closed doors, and often without anyone else knowing.

I don't believe we should have to whisper about it.

I don't believe someone should feel ashamed for having suicidal thoughts.

I don't believe asking for help should be seen as weakness.

And I don't believe families, friends or communities should respond with judgement when someone is struggling.

We need to be able to have the uncomfortable conversations.

We need to be able to ask, "Are you okay?" and genuinely listen to the answer.

We need to make it safer for people to say, "I'm not okay."

For me, this walk isn't about my past.

It's about everything I've learned since then.

It's about choosing to keep moving forward.

It's about standing alongside the people who are struggling now, the people who have lost someone they love, the people supporting someone through their darkest moments, and the people who have survived their own.

And it's about helping break the silence and stigma that can make an already difficult experience feel even harder.

If sharing my story helps even one person feel a little less alone, then it's worth it.

I'm walking the 9km because I can.

Because I'm still here.

And because I believe we should talk about suicide openly, compassionately and without shame.

If you would like to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful for any donation to Lifeline and the vital work they do supporting people through their darkest moments.

And if you’re reading this and you're struggling yourself, please don't suffer in silence.
Talk to someone. Reach out. You don't have to work it all out on your own.

I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.

Please support my walk and sponsor me to help those in crisis.

Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

My impact so far

I've raised $439 so far to answer 11 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.

With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
