We're walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis
Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
I will be walking 16 kilometres for my cousin Zeke — to honour his life, his laughter, and the moments we were lucky to share with him. Even though we miss him deeply, I want this walk to carry more than sadness. I want it to carry hope.
This walk is about remembering Zeke with love, but it’s also about prevention. It’s about creating a world where people feel safe to speak up, where reaching out is normal, and where support is easy to find. When we check in, when we listen, when we make space for real conversations, we help lighten someone’s load.
Every step today is for Zeke, and for everyone who needs a reminder that they matter. It’s for connection, for understanding, and for the belief that small acts of care can change someone’s path.
I walk for Zeke. I walk for hope. I walk for prevention — so more stories can keep going.
Our impact so far
