Out of the Shadows 2026

My Target

9km

I am fundraising and I am walking to make a statement, that nobody should ever face their darkest moments alone. It is my mission to remind people that conversations save lives. We are in this together.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking 9km for the 9 Australians lost to suicide every day.

Lifeline receives roughly 1 caller every 30 seconds, that’s more than 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life with over 3,000 dying by suicide.

The statistics need to change. It is every single persons human right to know they are not alone. May we remember that suffering is universal, may we connect and find strength through our shared experiences of hardship and instil hope in one another that brighter days lie ahead.

Let’s make the ‘hard’ conversations not so hard, and normalise speaking up about mental health battles.

I can personally say that conversations have saved my life.

The right help is out there.

If someone seems off, ask them about it. If you feel off, mention it to someone.

No battle too small, no battle too big. Together we stand.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.

Please support my walk and sponsor me to help those in crisis.

Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

My impact so far

I've raised $62 so far to answer 1 call for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.

With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
