We're walking to remember Jordan's Dad and everyone's loved ones who have been lost to suicide. We are walking to raise awareness and funds to help others in crisis.

This September along myself and with my amazing friend Tristan are walking 18km for the Out of the Shadows Walk on World Suicide Prevention Day (September 10), in support of Lifeline Australia, 2km for every one of the 9 Australians we lose to suicide each day. 

I’m taking on this challenge to honour my father, who died by suicide on September 17, 16 years ago this year. This is my way of keeping his memory alive and turning grief into something that can help others. 

Every step represents a life lost and a family forever changed, and every dollar raised goes toward funding Lifeline’s crisis support and suicide prevention services, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Suicide doesn’t just take the person we love, it leaves a ripple of loss through everyone who knew them, and I want to make sure no one else has to face their darkest moments alone.
