Join us on World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September) to remember those who we have lost to suicide.
Walk in memory of a loved one, in support of those struggling, or to acknowledge your own mental health journey.
Together, through connection, compassion and hope, we’ll raise awareness, reduce stigma, and show that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
Join Lifeline Macarthur & Western Sydney on World Suicide Prevention Day, Thursday 10 September 2026, for the annual Out of the Shadows Walk at the beautiful Macarthur Memorial Park, Varroville.
This meaningful community event brings together families, friends, survivors, and supporters to remember those lost to suicide, stand alongside those impacted, and promote hope and connection. The symbolic 3km walk represents the more than 3,000 Australians lost to suicide each year, reminding us that every conversation, every act of kindness, and every step can make a difference.
Set within the peaceful surrounds of Macarthur Memorial Park, a place of cultural and historical significance, the walk provides a space for reflection, remembrance, and community. Together, we walk out of the shadows and towards hope.
