i am walking for the ones we have lost and the ones still here.
suicide is one of the biggest, scariest and loneliest challenges some people are forced to face, it affects so many, often in ways we don’t see.
every step i take is to help show even just one person that reaching out is never something someone should be ashamed of. these 14km i will walk represents 1.5km for each Australian lives lost to suicide every single day.
suicide doesn’t just affect the person lost to it, suicide affects the families, friends and community of that individual.
i am walking to help break the silence around suicide, raise awareness and support each and every person that has struggled, struggling or has lost their life, aswell as the people around those individuals. i am also walking to support myself for getting through past battles current battles and possibly more to come.
together we can help everyone fighting this battle to rise out of this darkness we call suicide.
