9.72km for Lifeline. For Mum.

Today I walked 9.72km — going beyond the 9km I pledged — and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who helped me get there.

I chose to take part in this walk in memory of my Mum, who passed away when I was just six years old.

Although I don't have the years of memories with her that I wish I had, I have always carried a sense of missing the marvellous maternal figure she was — the mother I didn't get the opportunity to grow up with, and the relationship I never got to fully experience.

Doing this walk gave me a chance to honour her in a small but meaningful way, while supporting a cause that helps people through some of life's hardest moments.

To everyone who donated, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps Lifeline continue to be there for someone who may simply need a voice on the other end of the phone, someone to listen, or a reminder that they don't have to face a difficult moment alone.

A very special thank you to my family, who joined me and walked beside me today. Having you there made the experience even more special. ❤️

And to my extended family Eddie, Janice and Owen — thank you for showing up, walking with me and supporting something that is close to my heart. I truly appreciate having you alongside me.

9km was the goal. 9.72km was what I walked. But the kilometres are only a small part of what today represents.

It's about connection.
It's about showing up.
It's about checking in on the people we love.
And it's about making sure that when someone is struggling, they know there is somewhere they can turn.

I'm so grateful to everyone who helped me honour Mum today and support Lifeline's incredible work.
