My dad, Jason, is always in my heart 🩵

At 12 years old, I lost my beautiful dad to suicide. This irreversibly altered my entire world, forever. For those who know me, you probably know that September is always a particularly challenging time of year for me and my family. Father’s Day, my dad’s birthday, Suicide Prevention Day etc. all fall during this month.

Last year was my first time doing this walk and with the incredibly generous support of my friends and family, I was able to raise over $5,000. This year I wanted to continue to do something tangible to raise awareness of mental illness and suicide, and find a way to honour my dad and many other people in my life who have been affected by mental illness.
