On September 10th I’m walking 18km to bring awareness to suicide prevention and to highlight how important it is to check in with the people around you
Suicide is a topic I'm very passionate about bringing awareness to.
Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15 to 44.
Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.
Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones. Check in on your friends, family, loved ones or strangers, even the ones who seem to be okay
For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking 18km for the people lost to suicide every day.
I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
