The 3 Amigos

We're Gillian, Stephen and Leanne, the 3 Amigos from Lifeline Loddon Mallee, working behind the scenes every day to help make things happen. This year, we're stepping out from behind the desk and into our walking shoes to support a cause that means so much to us.

Tragically, every year more than 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life, and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

Every year, Lifeline responds to more than one million contacts from people experiencing crisis, distress and loneliness. Behind every call, text and chat is a person who needs support, hope and connection.

For World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September, we will be taking part in Out of the Shadows, walking in honour of the nine Australians lost to suicide every day, and remembering the families, friends and communities affected by this devastating loss.

We're walking to raise vital funds for Lifeline's suicide prevention and crisis support services, helping ensure that Australians in their darkest moments have somewhere to turn.
