Dusk Til Dawn

Out of the Shadows 2025

Help us ensure that no one faces their toughest moments alone

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Lifeline Gippsland has created our inaugural Dusk til Dawn telethon leading into World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10).

Our amazing team of Crisis Supporters are volunteering their time and committed to manning the phones non stop over the 12 hours. Being there for those experiencing any challenges from 6pm Saturday 6th until 6am Sunday 7th September.

Crisis Supporters are truly at the heart of Lifeline Gippsland, and we simply couldn't do what we do without their dedication, time and compassion.

By sponsoring one of our Crisis Supporters during this telethon, you will help Lifeline Gippsland:

- Be there for Help Seekers in their time of need

- Reduce stigma around mental health and suicide

- Work towards an Australia free of suicide

Support people in Gippsland to be resilient and suicide safe

Our volunteer Crisis Supporters do not seek recognition for what they do, but we at Lifeline Gippsland want to ensure that all of those who volunteer their time are recognised for the positive impact they are having on someone's life.

On September 10, Lifeline Gippsland will also be taking part in the Out Of The Shadows Walk, walking 9 kilometres to remember the 9 people who die by suicide every day in Australia.

Together we can ensure that no one has to face their toughest moments alone.

Thank you for supporting Lifeline Gippsland.
