A Walk For Bas
Join us at sunrise as we walk “Out of the Shadows” and into the light once again in memory of our beloved son, brother and friend Sebastian Smith ahead of World Suicide Prevention Day.
Date: Friday 8 September 2023
Time: 5:50am sharp, for sunrise.
Distance: 45 minute loop starting and finishing at Train Tiger (279 Wecker Road, Mansfield)
T-Shirts: This year, thanks to Lifeline, when you sign up and raise $39 (the cost of answering a call to save a life), you'll be sent an exclusive Out of the Shadows t-shirt to wear proudly on our walk. We will arrange the option for personalisation to include our #ForBas. More details to come. Please also feel free to wear your blue or white shirts from previous years.
Candles: #ForBas candles by Wabi Sabi are again available for purchase for $10 with $3 from each candle donated to Lifeline: www.wabisabipi.com.au We ask you to light a candle at 8pm on World Suicide Prevention Day (Saturday September 10) in Bas' memory. Please share your photos with #ForBas.
Breakfast: Muffins and pastries will be available to purchase on the day for a gold coin donation to Lifeline in Bas’ name.
Virtual Participation: If you’re unable to walk with us in person, we would love to see photos from your sunrise walks all over the world. Walk wherever you are, and share your photos using the hashtag #ForBas here in the event page, and on your own socials.
