Day 5 💙☀️

no walking today,

busted my ankle after doing close to 12km yesterday and it is a bit of pain. the school gave me some crutches for the day to help me move around, luckily I had an easy day. lets just say that its a bit weird walking around school in just my sock.

my school also acknowledged my walk and posted about it on their social media. I am just so beyond grateful for all the support I have received during this process, definitely feeling the love
3km to go, might smash it on sunday depending on my foot

Day 4 ☀️💙

So today is RUOK Day. And at my school we run something called a walk and talk. This initiative basically encourages students to get some exercise while touching base with their peers and asking them if they are okay and how they could potentially help if in need of assistance.

Unfortunately my year group (Year 12) We’re not allowed to participate however I reached out to the headteacher of well-being and asked him if I could still participate to gain some kilometres. He was more than happy for me to participate. In fact I did two hours of walking and gained an extra 10 km.

The school was very encouraging of my fundraiser and when I was walking, I had kids hyping me up the entire time. I even ran a little bit of it. It was incredibly fun and I am beyond grateful to the school for allowing me to still participate.

Day 3 💙☀️

Day 2 ☀️💙

So day 2 we went for a shorted walk than the day before but the sun was shining and we had a lot of positive vibes from the sun. I was walking and had a few kids from school calling out to me and hyping me up

Day 1 💙☀️

So I started my walk today (8/09)

It was 28 degrees outside so quite hot but we still pushed though and did 6km/25km!!

I did get swooped by a plover on my way causing me to stack it and grazed my knee but we are OK and still going strong.

So far so good ;)

I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.

Please support my walk and sponsor me to help those in crisis.

Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

My impact so far

I've raised $762 so far to answer 19 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.

With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
