Im walking in memory of Jamie & Gabe

In loving memory of Jamie Simpson & Gabe Pace

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.

Please support my walk and sponsor me to help those in crisis.

Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

The last five months have been filled with pain and loss, but also so much love.

Gabe and Jamie were good friends. They knew each other from primary school, and losing them both so close together has been an unimaginable pain. Loved ones are broken, missing two beautiful souls who touched the lives of so many of us.

I had the privilege of growing up with Gabriel, watching him be my brother’s best friend from such a young age. Jamie went to primary school with all of us too. I first met Jamie when we were playing interschool sport, and later in life she would hang around with Gabe and Joey when they had house parties at our house when the parents were away- I would come home to a house full of 15-year-olds causing absolute terror 🤣 Jamie was amongst them with her shining personality and beautiful blonde hair. The boys adored her and always protected her

Watching Gabriel grow up, He would spend many nights hanging out with Joey and I, he was apart of our family. He was always around and always there for you, I haven’t been able imagine our life with out him.

Over the last few years, I grew especially close to Jamie when I started dating her brother. Mark has become the biggest blessing in my life and the love of my life and through him, Jamie became so much more than a friend or someone I knew, she became my sister. Jamie loved everyone around her and always cared about everybody else before herself. She loved hard and cared for her loved ones so deeply

Not only are we grieving the loss of these beautiful angels, but we are also grieving the future we imagined having with both of them. The birthdays, the celebrations, the milestones, the memories they should have been here to make, and all the moments we will now never get to share.  Jamie was Marks number one best friend, eternal partner in crime. Forever human. His little sister 🩷  The hole we feel with her missing is so deep. We will forever love them, forever miss them, and I will forever carry them with me as my little brother and little sister

I know you are together protecting each other, Forever in our hearts, I love you both.

Rest in peace, beautiful angels

I miss you both so much

Until we meet again. 🤍🪽
