I’m walking in honour of Isly
Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
I m walking in memory of my younger sister, Isla, who we lost to suicide in October last year. She was bright, unique, creative, fiercely funny, and full of love, but she also carried a lot of pain that went unseen or unheard. I walk with grief, love, and with the hope that by sharing her story, others can be supported to feel less alone.
For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking 60km within a week.
