Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.
Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.
For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.
I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
Please support my walk and sponsor me to help those in crisis.
Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
My impact so far
I've raised $1,341 so far to answer 34 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.

Matty and I lived together for part of his life in Canada- he was as many call, a legend…he bought an old dodge ram, black with a spray painted orange differential…we called it orangey (look up trailer park boys if you don’t catch the reference). Well, I think he bought that truck for a relatively low amount of money, and there were some issues none the less, one trip leaving a rad snowboarding day at revelstoke, we had planned to drive all the way back home, however; we reached town and we had no high beam head lights- maybe a burnt fuze or something..but there was no shop open in town on that day, at that time, and it was still daylight, so we figured we would power through and get to the main highway before it was an issue…well we got pretty far, and then it got sketchy, and very sketchy, and then it started to snow, and we weren’t even to Banff yet (en route home to calgary), and all of a sudden we collectively realized we needed to tap out…we were each scared shitless, and new orangey couldn’t get us home that night…so we stopped in field. We stayed at the hostel, went for wings at the truffle pigs (I recall it may have been a Wednesday) and then we connected with a cousin of someone we worked with, kat’s cousin(can’t remember his name). And we went to his little miner cabin home in hay night and hung out in his cozy concrete basement with the wood fire going and enjoyed an excellent evening of good old fashioned company. Matty really was a legend, and thank you for this.
