Walking in memory of Paul and to support those in crisis
Tragically, every year more than 3,000 Australians lose their lives to suicide, and more than 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life.
Suicide doesn’t just affect the person in crisis — it has a devastating impact on families, friends and loved ones left behind.
This is our second year taking part in Out of the Shadows as a family. We first joined this walk last year after losing Josh’s brother, Paul, in May 2025.
Until suicide touched our own family, we didn’t truly understand the impact it has on those left behind, or how many people and families are affected every day.
We’ll be walking 9km to represent the 9 Australians lost to suicide every day, in memory of Paul and to help raise awareness for this important cause.
We are raising funds for Lifeline to support their suicide prevention services and ensure that Australians experiencing a crisis have someone to turn to when they need it most.
Please support our walk and help us make a difference.
Together, we can help ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
Thank you for your support.
