I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis
Hi everyone,
This year I'm taking part in the Out of the Shadows Walk for the second year in a row, and I'll be walking 200km to raise money for Lifeline Australia.
I'm doing this because suicide and mental health aren't just statistics to me. Like a lot of people, I've seen the impact they can have through my own life and through the people around me. I know there are so many people, not just in Australia but all around the world, who are silently battling things that no one else sees.
Every day, around 9 Australians lose their lives to suicide. That's more than 3,000 lives every year. Behind every number is someone's son, daughter, brother, sister, partner or friend. No family should have to go through that.
That's why I'm walking. I know I can't change the world on my own, but if I can help raise money that gives even one person the support they need, then every kilometre is worth it.
If you're able to donate, I'd be incredibly grateful. It honestly doesn't matter if it's $1 or $100—every single dollar makes a difference and helps Lifeline continue providing crisis support to people who need it most. Small donations add up and can have a real impact.
If you can't donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting something that's very close to my heart. Together, we can remind people they're never alone and help give hope to those who need it most.
Thank you so much. ❤️ Safe Space Minds
