Our Message
Lifeline’s ‘Out of the Shadows’ walks enable those whose lives have been touched by suicide to connect with others and feel comfortable to have a conversation about it.
Each year we gather at the sunrise of World Suicide Prevention Day to walk along the banks of the Murray River in Albury to honour those lost to suicide and bring their memory into the light, removing the stigma around suicide.
Our local walk takes place on Wednesday 10th September starting at Kremur Street boat ramp at 6am and taking a short walk along the Wagirra walking trail to Hovell Tree Park. Together, we watch the sunrise as we walk and hold a short memorial service.
Free BBQ breakfast and coffee available.
