This September, Lifeline Geelong invites you to take part in the Out of the Shadows Walk 2025—a powerful community event held in recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day.

Every day in Australia, we lose 9 lives to suicide. To honour them, we walk 9 kilometres—one for each life lost. While World Suicide Prevention Day is officially on September 10, you’re encouraged to walk anytime, anywhere that works for you.

Join a movement of hope, remembrance, and action. Whether you walk alone, with friends, or as part of a team, you’ll be standing with a community united in the fight to prevent suicide.

Your steps—and your support—can save lives. Every dollar you raise helps Lifeline provide critical, life-saving support to those in crisis. And when you raise $39 or more, you’ll receive a free Out of the Shadows t-shirt to wear proudly as a symbol of your advocacy.
