I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis
Hi there, thank you for checking out my page.
I want to share a personal story of my childhood best friend, Ayrton.
Ayrton and I have been friends since kindergarten and through to primary school. He was funny, quick-witted, and charismatic. He was also very active. So much so that he had represented my state as a swimming athlete at the national games. Ayrton had so much potential and was a shining star in everyone’s eyes.
Yet, his family never got to celebrate Christmas with him before the year 2019 ends.
“It has been a wonderful 19 years and I’m grateful if you’re part of it… Thank you” was Ayrton’s last message before the tragic news of his death spread across news platforms and the Internet, with speculation that he had suffered from depression and committed suicide while no one was at home.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.
Tragically, over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide each year. That’s 9 people every day in this country and behind each statistic is a family left distressed and brokenhearted.
For World Suicide Prevention Day on Sept 10, I will be taking part in Lifeline’s Out of the Shadows and walk 9 kilometres for each lives lost to suicide every day.
I hope to have your support and sponsor to help those in crisis. Your donation (tax-deductible) can mean a world of difference for someone in dire need.
Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
Note: Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year. All funds raised will be for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
My impact so far
I've raised $45 so far to answer 1 call for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
