I have walked half my 9kms so far for this year's Out of the Shadows fundraising campaign 🔥 

I look forward to adding more km's to my walk tonight after work and will finish on World Suicide Prevention Day this Thursday 10 September 2026.

Time to start walking 🔥

I got my kit today and with September 10 approaching fast, I am going to get started on my walk today.

As I have osteoarthritis and am having a hip replacement in December this year, I will be walking bit by bit to reach my goal for this crucial cause.

I am a Suicide Survivor and know all too well how important Lifeline's service is to those in crisis. Lifeline saved my life and I would not be here today without them.

I am walking for the 9 lives lost to suicide every day in this country. I am walking for all the families left behind. I am walking for all those who continue to struggle and desperately need this service and I am walking for Me!

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

I am walking to remember those lost to suicide, and to acknowledge my own past struggles with mental health as a suicide survivor.

Today, I advocate for Mental Health Awareness to break the silence and end the stigma. I whole heartedly support this crucial cause by Lifeline to ensure no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

World Suicide Prevention Day is on the 10th of September. I am taking part in Out of the Shadows and will walk for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.


I am walking my 9kms bit by bit because I suffer with osteoarthritis and am having a hip replacement in December 2026.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for all Australians in need.
