Remembering Dad - & bringing hope to others fighting their own battles!
Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
For our head coach Lachie, this hits home. He lost his dad 4 years ago to suicide. It is his mission to help bring light to those fighting their own battles, providing hope, whilst also remembering and honouring his dad.
Lifeline receives over 1 contacts from people in crisis each year.
Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.
On Sunday September 20th, 8:00am at Maitland Park, TYGM will be taking part in the Out of the Shadows Walk and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.
Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
My impact so far
I've raised $3,706 so far to answer 95 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
