I’m walking 3 laps of Lake Wendouree (18kms) to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis
I’ve never lost someone to suicide, but I’ve felt the kind of pain and despair that can make life feel unbearably heavy. I know how isolating it can be.
That’s why Out of the Shadows means something real to me. It’s not just a walk, it’s a way to say: you’re not alone. There’s help. There’s hope.
For World Suicide Prevention Day (September 10), I’ll be walking 18kms to honour the 9 people lost to suicide every single day in Australia and to raise funds for Lifeline, who receive over a million contacts from people in crisis each year.
Suicide has a devastating impact on families, friends, and communities.
Even $5 can help connect someone in their darkest moment to the support they need.
Please sponsor me if you can. Together, we can ensure no one has to face their pain alone.
My impact so far
I've raised $810 so far to answer 20 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
