Our teenagers need to know they matter!
On 5 July, Cooper took his life.
He was 17.
Less than a month later, on 3 August, Liv took her life.
She was 16.
Two teenagers. Two families living through the unimaginable. Friends, siblings, partners, parents and communities trying to make sense of losses that should never have happened.
We are doing Lifeline's Out of the Shadows Walk because our teenagers need to know they matter.
They are growing up in a world that can feel incredibly hard to navigate, and too many of them are struggling behind what we see on the outside.
We need more courage to have direct conversations. More connection. More understanding. More accessible support. And we need our young people to know that no matter how dark things feel, there is somewhere to turn and someone who will listen.
We are walking for Cooper.
We are walking for Liv.
We are walking for their families and friends.
We are walking for every teenager who is struggling right now and needs to know that their life matters and that they don't have to navigate the darkness alone.
Funds raised through our walk will support Lifeline's suicide prevention and crisis support services.
If you would like to sponsor our walk, every donation helps Lifeline be there when someone reaches out.
Let's send a loud message to our teenagers that they matter.
My impact so far
I've raised $374 so far to answer 9 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
