I'm walking to remember those lost, and to thank all those who have saved me

Suicide is preventable. I know - I live with a condition that comes with a 1 in 10 suicide rate AND where 1 in 10 of all suicides in Australia can be related to the condition I have. But I'm still here (go me!), so I'm paying it forward by helping bring those numbers down.

Importantly, you don't have to have the answers or know the right thing to say - you can just listen when people speak about their suffering, acknowledge their feelings and validate their humanity - it can be that easy to save a life.

Of course, life is complex, and while I've had decades to learn from experience, many haven't (and even with experience, we all need help at times), so if you have a few dollars you can buy some good karma with, that kindness will go to helping someone in crisis, in the time that they need that support. You'll literally be making someone's life better, and you might even save them - like people have done for me. #allinthistogether
