I’m walking to remember people I’ve lost to suicide and to raise awareness about suicide prevention
Every year, 65,000 Australians lose their lives to suicide. I have personal experience with this, losing a loved one to suicide and almost losing multiple people to it. I have gained knowledge and insight on the impact of suicide through working in the healthcare system as a nurse, working with people struggling with mental health and suicidal thoughts, and experiencing the effects of this to the individual and the people around them.
I am walking 9km on Suicide Prevention Day, September 10th, to remember those who have lost their lives to suicide, to support those who have lost loved ones to suicide, and to raise money and awareness to help Lifeline support and assist those in crisis.
Please take the time to donate if you are able to. ❤️
My impact so far
I've raised $189 so far to answer 4 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
