We are walking to remember Bradley Hayes

James and Carina are walking in loving memory of Bradley Hayes a beloved uncle, brother, and son taken from this world far too soon.

Walking in Bradley’s honour is both an act of remembrance and a call for compassion, kindness, and change. Bradley’s life was tragically cut short on 14 December 2024, at just 25 years old, leaving our family carrying the unbearable weight of grief from his sudden and unexpected loss.

Domestic violence and coercive control do not discriminate they harm women and men alike. Through fear, manipulation, and mind games, victims are often cut off from their loved ones and left vulnerable and alone. In the worst cases, they may come to believe there is no way out of their situation and, heartbreakingly, take their own life. 

The way we treat one another profoundly shapes mental health. A little more kindness, compassion, and honesty can mean the difference between despair and hope. Words, actions, and silence all matter. If someone you know is struggling, please don’t stay silent. Reach out and if needed, notify their family. Their loss will break hearts forever, sadly while those who cause such misery and sorrow often move on unaffected.
