I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis
I’m walking 63km to remember those lost to suicide and to help people in crisis.
Every year in Australia, over 65,000 people attempt to take their own life and more than 3,000 die by suicide. That’s 9 lives lost every single day.
Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year. The impact of suicide is devastating – not only for those we lose, but for friends, families, and entire communities.
For World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September), I’m taking part in 'Out of the Shadows' by walking 63km – representing the 9 lives lost each day over a week – to ensure no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
I’m raising funds for Lifeline so they can continue providing life-saving support, crisis lines, and suicide prevention services for Australians in need.
Please support my walk and sponsor me to help those in crisis.
Together, we can make sure no one feels they have to face the darkness on their own.
My impact so far
I've raised $327 so far to answer 8 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
