Hi, my name is Coady Strong. We all know at least one or several persons that have had their battle against the black dog and lost.

I served my communities for 25 years as a first responder with the New South Wales Police and Fire & Rescue NSW, and unfortunately, I now know this battle all to well.

So firstly, for me, this walk is for everyone out there, but it is primarily to honor and to show respect to all first responders and vets that lost their battle with the black dog, and also their families and loved ones.

Secondly, its for all those still serving, in hope they can find the strength and courage to pick up the phone and ask for help if need be. +Every dollar raised will ensure there is someone to answer that call+

On the 10th of September I will be walking 40kms starting at Shark Bay Evans Head, out to Broadwater, across to Woodburn then back to Shark Bay Evans Head. Please donate to a very important day. Thanks.

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
