My Walk

My Progress
63km

My Target
63km
Walking 63km as my Spark Against The Dark — for the 9 lives lost every day to suicide.
Suicide takes more than 3,000 lives in Australia every year. Over 65,000 more attempt to take their own life. And every single one leaves a trail of heartbreak behind.
For World Suicide Prevention Day, I’m taking on 63 kilometres — one for each life lost every week. It’s heavy, but it matters. Because this fight isn’t just about numbers, it’s about people. Families. Mates. Kids.
Lifeline picks up the phone over a million times a year when people call in their darkest moments. I want to help them keep answering.
This is also about men’s mental health, especially for dads and carers. Too many of us stay silent, but I want to be a voice and an example that you can be that spark against the dark — that you can show up and be the man you want to be.
If you want to hear that message in another way, scroll down my Facebook page to check out my song “Spark Against The Dark.”
My impact so far
I've raised $295 so far to answer 7 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
