Today is World Suicide Prevention Day and I’m finishing my final 9km walk this afternoon, closing out 7 days and 63km walked for Lifeline. 💙

I chose 9km each day because, heartbreakingly, 9 Australians die by suicide every single day. Each step has been in memory of loved ones lost, for those who are struggling, and for the families and friends forever changed.
I’m walking with gratitude for the incredible support, donations, and encouragement I’ve received along the way. It means so much with this being so very close to my heart.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me walk for hope, remembrance, and life.

Hi my lovely Friends & Family,
From 4th to 10th September, I’ll be taking part in Lifeline’s Out of the Shadows Walk. Every day for 7 days, I’ll be doing a 9km walk, one kilometre for each of the 9 precious lives lost to suicide every single day in Australia.
This cause is very close to my heart, sadly in more ways than one. I’m walking for those I’ve lost, for those we have all lost, and to help raise awareness and funds that will quite literally save lives.

I’ll also be walking alongside others who are raising funds, sharing stories, conversations, and hope on planned walks on the North Beaches.

I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide. 

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
