Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Queensland Ltd (Lifeline Darling Downs) has been providing support and services to people across the Darling Downs and South West Queensland for 48 years.
Our work includes counselling, domestic and family violence intervention, responding to homelessness, crisis intervention, emergency relief, youth services, gambling help, financial counselling, and working with families and individuals. Engaging with people and empowering individuals to building resilient communities underpins everything we do.
Our programs help people navigate difficult situations, build healthy relationships, address financial problems, and develop their capacity and resilience.
We are walking together on World Suicide Prevention Day to help Australians come Out of the Shadows and into the light.
Join us on September 10 and walk 9km with us, or anywhere that suits you, to reflect on the 3,144 Australians lost to suicide each year.
Together we will ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

INFORMATION: On 10 September, World Suicide Prevention Day, we encourage you to meander, walk, jog or run 9kms for the 9 Australians who die by suicide every day. It's Carnival weekend in Toowoomba so you may wish to get your steps up by wandering through the beautiful parks and gardens open at this time, or you may choose to walk elsewhere. You can walk or run with a group of friends, with your dog or on your own. We encourage you to reflect on the 3,144 lives lost to suicide in Australia each year, and consider donating here to help support our much needed crisis support services for individuals living in the Darling Downs and across South West Qld.
