On September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day, I will be taking part in the Out of the Shadows Walk through Lifeline.
This walk is deeply personal to me — just one month ago, I lost my brother to suicide. To honour his memory, and to stand beside all those who have lost someone or are struggling themselves, I will be walking 9km to remember the 9 Australians lost to suicide every day.
I’m walking not only to remember my brother, but also to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support Australians in crisis. Every step, every conversation, and every dollar raised makes a difference in providing hope and help through Lifeline.
I’ve started a team, and it is open to anyone who would like to join — whether you walk beside me, donate, or simply share the message. And if you can’t walk the 9km, you can bike, jog, or take part in any way that feels right for you.
Together, we can shine a light in the darkness and remind people they are never alone💙💙
