Seeing my loved ones going through their darkest moments was difficult and heartbreaking to say the least. I am glad organisations like Lifeline were there to support them when needed (they get over 1 million contacts each year). 

But I was devastated to learn that 9 precious lives are lost each day to suicide, and their families' and friends' lives are changed forever. 

So for World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day - 9km each day for one week, rain or shine. 

Plus, I will personally match the first 9 donations, up to $39 each, which will connect and help 1 more person in crisis.
