I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people in crisis
World Suicide Prevention Day 💙
September 10
Every day, 9 people in Australia take their lives. Every year, that's over 3000 people. Each who have come from families, and communities.
I have known 4 people and their families who have experienced such a horrible loss. Each were a beloved son, a brother and a friend. All made in God's image.Â
This is something very close to my heart.Â
I personally have attempted to take my life at multiple times in my adolescent and young adulthood life. Yet, by God's grace, I am alive and well, and even flourishing today. I am so deeply grateful for the life that I have and for my family and friends. At the same time, I am deeply saddened for families who no longer have their loved ones with them.Â
Today I am walking 9 km to pay tribute to all lives that have been lost each day, and to their families. I am walking as someone who has personally walked out of the shadows and into the light, and to shine a light of hope and compassion for those who are currently walking in the shadows. I pray you have courage and strength to reach up and out for help as I did, and that you step into the Light. Amen.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to Lifeline if you or someone you know is struggling and needs support and help.

My impact so far
I've raised $80 so far to answer 2 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
