I'm walking to remember those lost to suicide and help people so they don't feel alone

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.

Hi, I’m Rhiannon 💛

I’m taking part in the Out of the Shadows Walk because mental health isn’t just something I care about — it’s something I’ve lived through.

There have been times in my life where I’ve felt completely unseen, where the weight of everything felt too heavy to carry, and where I questioned if things would ever get better. I’ve battled anxiety, depression, and moments of feeling like I had to be “the strong one” for everyone else, even when I was falling apart inside.

I’ve worked hard to heal, to find my voice, and to remind myself that it’s okay to not be okay. But I know too many people don’t get the chance to see the other side.

I’m walking to honour those we’ve lost, to support the ones still struggling, and to be a voice that says: you are not a burden, and you are not alone.

Every step I take is for the people who need to know they matter — and for the younger me who needed to hear that too.

If you can, please support me by donating or walking with me. Together, we can help Lifeline be there for someone when they need it most.

My impact so far

I've raised $290 so far to answer 7 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.

With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
