We walked 4.44 kms today, and with my 5kms yesterday, I've exceeded my goal of 9kms 👣

I am so thankful every day that I made it out of darkness and survived suicide. Today, I live my best life and advocate for suicide awareness and prevention, mental health and addiction recovery. Through lived experience I can say that CONNECTION is key and Lifeline provides this to those in crisis.

My life is not perfect, I still go through ups and downs. I have the tools today to reach out and not walk this journey alone. Please reach out if you are struggling. You are not alone 💛💙

My two part walk begins tomorrow on Saturday 13th of September and will continue on Sunday 14th of September.

Suicide Prevention means a lot to me and I am walking to remember those we have lost, and to support those in crisis today.

I suffered with mental health for many years, experienced suicidal ideation and made many attempts to leave this world.

I know the darkness and found the light. I am walking so no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

As a Suicide Survivor, this campaign means a lot to me. I am one of the lucky ones. Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide. 

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

I'm walking over 2 days to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
